Dikke slangehuidkleurige stengels met chocoladebruine vlekken. Bovenin zit een propeller met smal blad. Zwartpurperen bloem met een lange staart.

 

Zaai-instructies: zaai in herfst, zet buiten. Kiem in lente, onregelmatig.

Plant-instructies: halfschaduw, humusrijke grond.

Waarschuwing: bessen zijn giftig.

Thick snakeskin colored stems with chocolate brown spots. At the top is a propeller of narrow leaves. Black purple flower with a long tail.

Sowing instructions: this is one for wintersowing. Sow it in sep-oct in a pot, seal it in plastic and put it outside in a sheltered spot. Germination will occur in spring and can be erratic.

Planting instructions: should be planted in rich soil and shade to partial shade. Keep moist.

Warning: the berries are poisonous.
