Description:
A lupin-like plant found in the wild from Alaska and Siberia so is fully hardy. Almost black, slightly hairy stems carrying narrow heads of pale lemon-yellow pea-flowers held in conspicuous dark green calyces. The stems are clothed in trifoliate leaves. Total effect is very handsome in late spring.

Sowing instructions: will usually germinate in 15-30 days. Sow seeds about 2mm deep in a well drained seed sowing mix at about 20 Celsius.

Planting instructions: For best results, give the plant plenty of room to grow. It can dominate the border in early spring with its size and striking flowers. Can tolerate some dryness, although it will do best with moist soil. Has a long taproot, and does not transplant well
