--------------------------------------

Showy woodland flower, quite rare. This handsome perennial has attractive, bluish-green, deeply-lobed leaves. Clusters of large, bright yellow, saucer-like flowers appear, the resultant seed pods are sausage-shaped and hang in pendulous bunches, an unusual but quite attractive variation. In dry conditions, the plant may go dormant in midsummer, otherwise it can flower on and off into autumn .

Height: 40 cm.

Flowers: may-aug

Type: HP

Hardy in: zones 4-9 (-20 Celsius)

Sowing instructions: Seeds can be sown at any time but are best sown in winter or early spring to benefit from a cold spell in the wet compost to break their dormancy. If the seeds do not come up within 6 to 12 weeks the damp seed tray can be given cold treatment in a fridge for about four weeks. They may still take very many months to appear, so please never discard the pot or tray.

Planting instructions: (Partial) shade, not wet.
