Moerasplant voor kuip of minivijver, aan sloot- of vijverkant en in vochtige grond. Sterk groeiende, weinig vertakkende plant met roodachtige, vierkante stengel en kleine, lancetvormige blaadjes. Kleine, lieve, blauwe bloemetjes.

Description:
Mimulus stems from the diminuitive of ?mimus? which means ?buffoon?, referring to the grinning face of the corolla. Ringens comes from a word that means ?gaping?. Common to alluvia woods, edges of marshes, in seeps and in wet roadside ditches. Blue-violet flowers. Native Americans and early settlers sometimes used the leaves as an edible green.

Sowing instructions: Sow late winter to mid spring at 15-18 Celsius on the surface of a good seed compost. Keep soil damp but not wet. Do not exclude light, sealing in a polythene bag after sowing is helpful. Germination usually takes 14-21 days

Planting instructions: Don't let them dry out at any stage of their growth.
