Malve sylvestris 'Zebrina' - Groot kaasjeskruid (15-20)

Het werd universeel aangewend. Niet geheel terecht, maar de bloemen van dit prachtige kruid werken goed tegen hoesten. Groeit erg snel en bloeit van juni tot ver in de herfst met 5 cm grote fluwelige bloemen in zacht lilaroze met een donker lilaroze stertekening vanuit het hart. Kan in zachte winters overblijven, en zaait zich ook wel (prettig) uit. ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- ---------------- Wellknown healing plant whose history goes a long way back. It was used for many medical problems, which was not entirely correct. Nontheless, the flowers of this beautiful plant can be used to cure a sore throat or a cough. Satiny flowers, in a soft lavender-purple shade, exotically striped with deep maroon veins. Often it flowers itself to death in the first year, but comes back from self-sown seedlings. In cold regions this is well worth growing, because of the long blooming season. Flowers are attractive to butterflies.
