Een prachtig zwartgroen pompoentje met de bekende eikelvorm, vrij vroeg oogstbaar. Het gele vruchtvlees is zoet en iets notig, lekkerder als je nog 2-4 weken na de oogst wacht met consumeren.

 

Zaai-instructies: Kiemt in 5-10 dagen bij 21-25 Celsius.

Plant-instructies: Regelmatig voeding en water geven. Goeddoorlatende grond in volle zon

Description:

Produces acorn shaped fruits. The outer skin is a dark green color, with a golden yellow, inner flesh. Each fruit will grow to 6" in length and can weigh up to 2 pounds, displaying deep ribs. Table Queen Acorn Squash plants are rather productive, and will produce up to 8 fruits per vine.

Sowing instructions: Sow seed in 7.5cm pots of good seed compost at 21-25C. Place in a propagator or seal container in a polythene bag until after germination which takes 5-7 days. Can also be sown direct outdoors once the soil has warmed. Do not sow in cold soils. Sow 2 seeds every 90cm and thin out to the best seedling. Ideally grow under cloches until the plant is established.

 

Planting instructions: Keep well watered throughout the season. Feed and mulch regularly. Full sun.
