Kuipplant. Blad en stengels zijn fragiel behaard. De meestal violetblauwe, grote bloemen bloeien van de nazomer tot in de herfst en op een koele vensterbank of wintertuin nog maanden langer.

Description:

This shrubby plant bears large violet-blue flowers singly and in small clusters near the tips of its stems from summer to fall, and then intermittently through winter and spring. The flowers are pink in bud, creating an interesting contrast. It has deep-olive-green, velvety leaves.
