Description:

Observing the fruit, most people guess it is a (strange) variety of pumpkin. That's why it's often called "Pumpkin on a Stick" or a "Pumpkin Tree". Others, speculate that it may be a foreign tomato, lending to the name "Mock Tomato". Few people guess what botanists call it..... Ornamental Eggplant. The plant and fruit look like no Eggplant that anyone has ever seen....unless you live in Asia, that is.

Hardy in: zones 9-11 (5 Celsius)

Sowing instructions: Sow February-May for growing indoors. Sow seed on the surface of a good free draining, moist seed compost and cover with 6mm layer of vermiculite or compost. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag at constant 18-21C until after germination which takes 10-14 days.

Planting instructions: Once first flowers have set feed and water regularly with a high potash tomato feed. Harvest regularly to promote further flowers and to extend the picking season.
