Kuipplant. Het fijngeveerde blad valt het eerste op! De bloemtrossen met orchidee-achtige bloemetjes zijn geel met dieprode meeldraden.

Description:

Flowering in relatively small pots and therefore particularly suitable for growing in small greenhouses (or even for trying on a sunny window sill) is this small shrub with attractive bi-pinnate foliage and exotic flowers with bright yellow petals and immense scarlet stamens. Hardy enough to risk the odd plant against a hot sunny wall.

Sowing instructions: Soak seed in warm water for 24 hours before sowing. Sow into pots or trays of moist soilbased potting mix and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or warm place, and keep at a constant temperature of between 20-25C. After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination can take 1-4 months.

Planting instructions: Feed plants with liquid fertilizer monthly, and water sparingly in winter. Remove faded flowers after blooming, and trim back growth as required
