Description:

There are very few ground covers that can be walked-on, but creeping thyme is one of them. It is suitable as a lawn substitute in small areas, an ideal ground cover to use between stepping stones or near to patios and walkways. Hardy with good drought tolerance, these low maintenance plants donot require mowing, watering or care, and can take a lot of abuse. When you step on them they emit a lovely fragrance. Also a culinary and medical plant.

Sowing instructions: Sow from late winter to early summer 1.5mm deep in seed compost. Make sure that the compost is moist but not wet and seal in a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 18-24 days at 13-16 Celsius.

Planting instructions: A dry spot in full sun. Keep cutting and it will stay compact. Cold temperatures combined with wet feet will kill it off!
