Description:

This is an unusual plant that is easy to grow. Olive shaped blooms are golden yellow with dark burgundy eyes that are suspended from pendulant stems. Burgundy-tinged foliage grows to 15 inch mounds in full sun. Often referred to as ‘Toothache Plant’, splianthes can be chewed for its numbing qualities and can be added to salads for a peppery flavor.
