Donkergroen blad met daarboven lange stengels met vele, 3 cm. grote, mauve, lieflijke bloemen die ook nog insecten aantrekken.

Description: has a clump of dark green leaves, producing two feet tall stems with many mauve flowers. A very pretty little flower and attractive to pollinating insects too!

Sowing instructions: Sow Feb-June or Sep-Oct in pots or trays of moist seed compost and cover with a very fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or warm place, and keep at a constant temperature of between 15-20 Celsius. After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination usually takes 7-21 days. Can also be sown outdoors once the soil has warmed, 3mm deep in drills 30cm apart in well-cultivated soil which has been raked to a fine tilth.

Planting instructions: For best results, provide a fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun.
