Description:
The arching stems form a wide clump and are clothed in pointed angel-wing type leaves. At the end of each stem are amazingly long, bright orange-red bells that attract hummingbirds even though they produce no nectar.

Sowing instructions : Germinate January to March at around 25 Celsius on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost. Do not cover the seed. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 14-21 days. Do not exclude light at any stage, as this helps germination

 

Planting instructions : (partial) shade. Soil must not get dry
