Beschrijving: Kuipplant (dan blijft hij klein). Helaas niet winterhard, maar is wel een hele makkelijke kuipplant. Bloeit prachtig met op orchidee lijkende bloemen. Wordt liefdesboom genoemd vanwege de vorm van zijn (hartvormige) bladeren. Hoogte: 4 m. Bloeit: aug-sep Type: TTr Winterhard in: zones 10-11 (10 Celsius) Zaai-instructies: zaai feb-apr. Week de zaden. Zaai in potgrond en dek de zaden lichtjes af. Licht is nodig om te kiemen. Kiemt binnen 10-60 dagen bij 20-30 Celsius. Plant-instructies: geef in de groeiperiode voldoende water; af en toe met water besproeien. Houd de plant luchtig. Snoei de plant om hem in vorm te houden. -------------------------------------- Description: The flowers are reminiscent of showy orchids in shades of magenta, lavender, white or purplish blue. The flowers often make their first appearance in late winter while the tree is bare of leaves. The flowers are carried in clusters at the branch tips. Height: 4 m. Flowers: aug-sep Type: TTr Hardy in: zones 10-11 (10 Celsius) Sowing instructions: Sow February to April. Soak seed in warm water for 24 hours before sowing. Germinate at 20-30 Celsius on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost. Cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite, and place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 10-60 days. Do not exclude light at any stage as this is beneficial to germination. Planting instructions: Water freely during growth, mist spray plants occasionally and ensure plants have adequate ventilation. Prune only to keep plants to required size.
