Beschrijving:
Een oude Franse variëteit van voor 1830. Vrucht afgeplat, roodachtig oranje, met ribben en iets gebobbeld. Het gewicht varieert van 8-20 kg en de diameter van 30-50 cm.

Zaai-instructies: Zaai apr-mei (binnen). Kiemt in 5-7 dagen bij 21-25 Celsius. Leg zaden op hun kant.

Plant-instructies: Heeft véél voeding, water en zon nodig voor de beste vruchten.

Centuries old French heirloom introduced to America in the 1880's. These stunning vivid, red skinned, flattened 'cheese wheel shaped' heavily ribbed fruits. The moist orange flesh is ideal for pies. Vigorous vine habit.

Sowing instructions: Sow April to May 2cm deep in 7.5cm pots of good seed compost at 21-25 Celsius. Place in a propagator or seal container in a polythene bag until after germination which takes 5-7 days. Can also be sown direct outdoors once the soil has warmed. Do not sow in cold soils. Sow 2 seeds every 90cm and thin out to the best seedling. Ideally grow under cloches until the plant is established
